About the Programme
Our programme, launched in 2011 by founder Steve Rowe, aims to increase physical activity among children through fun and engaging table tennis lessons. Designed for kids from 4 years old, our programme runs for one school year and offers a variety of benefits to enhance their overall development. Since its inception, Aerobic Table Tennis has engaged over 100,000 children and adults worldwide.

Steve Rowe
the Founder
Steve, has been involved in table tennis for 47 years, as a player and a coach. He has a vast knowledge of the game from beginner to advanced. Table tennis associations around the world love to work with Steve, because of his high energy and his fun way of delivering sessions.
Vision
To enrich and inspire the lives of young people by creating a lifelong love of table tennis and being physically active.

Benefits of the programme
Aerobic Table Tennis
It is sometimes a major task to get children to be physically active. One of today's problems in society is getting children away from tv and playing on game consoles. Aerobic Table Tennis is delivered in such a way that sessions are fun and exciting, children are keeping fit without actually realizing it.
Overall Fitness: Improve general fitness levels.
Hand-Eye Coordination: Enhance coordination and fundamental movement skills.
Social Engagement: Encourage social interaction and teamwork. Make new friends.
Improved Agility and Flexibility: Develop better movement and flexibility.
Communication Skills: Promote effective communication.
Learning Table Tennis: Learn an understanding of table tennis, the rules and how to play.
Beginner's Student Course Breakdown
Teachers Award Course:
Aerobic Table Tennis
The Aerobic Table Tennis Teachers Award is open to qualified, training teachers and teaching assistants.
The aim of the award are to:
- Give teachers the confidence to run Aerobic TT sessions.
- Enable teachers to organize safe, enjoyable and fun table tennis activities using the Aerobic Table Tennis programme.
Duration: The 3-hour course can be delivered to suit the school needs.
On completion of the course teachers should be able to:
- Understand the health and safety issues involved in setting up Aerobic Table Tennis sessions.
- Plan and set up suitable activities for pupils from starter to improver level both ‘on’ and ‘off’ the table.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic techniques and understand the rules of table tennis.
- Be able to demonstrate the basic strokes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how to adapt activities to be fully inclusive.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a signed Aerobic Table Tennis instructors certificate confirming their Teachers Award.
